Engineering Education Scheme

As part of our STEM engagement in increasing the pool of young people interested in STEM subjects and following a STEM career we support the Engineering Education Scheme at some of our power stations.

The Engineering Education Scheme (England & Scotland) is a work related learning scheme run by the EDT. The scheme links teams of four Year 12/S5 students and their teacher with a local company to work on real scientific, engineering and technological problems that their partner company faces.

Students work with engineers and companies on real problems helping to provide students with the motivation and inspiration to continue their studies and career path involving science, engineering and technology while helping to raise their awareness of the world of work and develop their skills.
