Welcome to our energy and environment programme

Within npower we have spent many years training and educating our own people around the energy market and the systems and processes that it takes to run a large complex business. One of the things that we have found is that training helps to raise people’s morale and increases their productivity in addition to helping make our business and systems a lot more efficient.

With this in mind, we believe that by investing in educating our customers, their children and young people we can empower them to move forward in a journey to save energy, reduce carbon emissions and help, on an individual level, to tackle climate change.

npower has created several training programmes specifically addressing how we can save energy and be kinder to the environment.

Our courses come under two main headings:

1. nEMS (npower Energy Management Specialist)

In addition to training out own people and providing great activities for schools, we also have an Energy Academy for our energy customers. This Academy includes a section called nEMS (npower Energy Management Specialist) which provides training for other companies' staff from a simple online E-Learning energy awareness platform to a full Apprenticeship for Junior Energy Managers.

2. Schools
